As a clinical psychologist, I embrace a philosophical approach that recognizes the profound influence of layered intrapsychic, interpersonal, and socio-cultural factors on our well-being. This approach eschews the traditional focus on “fixing” individuals. I have been working as a clinician and trainer for over a decade now, having been associated with various organisations, including Duquesne University (Pittsburgh), Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon, Pittsburgh, South Asian Women (SAKHI) ( New York), Pace University, (New York), and Bapu Trust, (Pune).
Currently, I am in private practice in New Delhi, India (NCR), working predominantly with late adolescent and adult individuals. I also provide training & supervision to clinicians, emphasising the active integration of the social lens in approaching trauma. I also offer individual and group supervision to other therapists, and several trainings for advanced learning for other professionals.
Additionaly, I am part of the core team of Mad in South Asia—an initiative dedicated to delivering articles, firsthand experiences, resources, and podcasts that offer critical perspectives in psychology. Our focus is on illuminating marginalized and overlooked voices through a genuinely feminist, inclusive, cultural, and non-pathologizing lens. Currently, our outreach extends to India, China, and Vietnam, with aspirations to encompass all other regions of South Asia in the near future.
